Potomac High School students should come prepared with basic school supplies, including pens, pencils, notebook paper, highlighters, folders, and other materials commonly used in class.
All Potomac High School students will be issued a PWCS iPad with cloud storage for instructional use throughout the school year. While not required, families may choose to purchase an Apple Pencil or a compatible stylus to enhance note taking, drawing, annotating documents, and other learning activities.
Optional Stylus Recommendations:
Some courses, such as Art and Music, may require additional supplies specific to the class. These requirements will be shared by teachers in their course syllabi. Families are encouraged to wait until students meet with their teachers before purchasing any course-specific materials.
Health and Physical Education (HPE):
HPE teachers will provide guidance during the first weeks of school regarding appropriate attire for physical education classes. While uniforms are not required, students should have clothing suitable for physical activity, such as athletic shorts, T-shirts, sweatshirts, and athletic shoes.
Registration begins online and is followed up with an appointment with our school's Registrar. If your child is zoned for Potomac High School, to begin the enrollment process, please go to our PWCS Registration Process Page. This page will provide you with detailed steps and the documents you will need to complete before your child can be enrolled.
Please contact Mrs. Mellott by email at [email protected] if you have questions while completing the paperwork.
The deadline to meet the immunization and physical examination requirements for the upcoming school year will be posted by the district. Please monitor the PWCS required immunizations page for updates.
Parents/guardians can view information about student immunization compliance in ParentVUE. For specific questions about immunization non-compliance or for assistance in setting up a ParentVUE account, please contact the school.
Once completed, provide documentation to your student’s school indicating that your student has received the immunization(s) and/or physical examination. All documentation must include the student’s full name and ID number. It is recommended that the documentation be delivered in person to the school's office.
