Prepare your student for life in high school and beyond. High School Parent Summit, Saturday, January 5, 2019, Hylton high School

PWCS will hold a Parent Summit for parents of high school and eighth grade students at 8 a.m. on Saturday, January 5. The event will be hosted by Hylton High School, 14051, Spriggs Road, Woodbridge, VA 22193.

Sessions will focus on getting the most out of high school, college planning, financial aid, workforce, trade and technical programs, and mental health. Parents can choose from more than 30 different sessions.

New this year, we will have an opportunity for a limited number of 11th and 12th grade students to attend the Parent Summit to talk about creating healthy high school environments.

Topics include:

  • Helping determine the best way to educate students about wellness and positive mental health
  • Sharing thoughts about how we can help students manage stress during high school

If you believe your student may be interested in these topics, please encourage them to register for “A Student’s Conversation on Mental Health.” This is a separate registration process. Register now. Space is limited so encourage your student to sign up soon!
