Hi, my name is Graham Bagshaw and I will be teaching
the Cambridge AICE Higher Math 2 class and I will also be teaching 4 classes of Algebra 1, 2 with Mr Foster as my co-teacher. This will be my 23nd year of teaching, 13 of which have been at Potomac.

I completed my education in the English Comprehensive school system and got a first class honors degree for Mathematics from the University of Central Lancashire. I completed my teacher training qualification at St Luke’s School of Education at Exeter University.

I am a huge sport fan and love baseball with the Boston Red Sox being the team I follow the closest. I am married and have 2 children, Mason who is starting Middle School this year and Jackson who starts Kindergarten.

Being from England I am also a huge football (aka soccer) fan and will once again closely be following the fortunes of Liverpool FC with them trying to build on their recent Champions League and Super cup success

In class I believe in clear instruction, backed up with hard work from the students being the key to a successful school year. If there are issues address them quickly, do not let them mount.

The best way to contact me is through email at bagshawg@pwcs.edu . Alternatively leave me a phone message at 703 441 4200. Thank you for taking the time to find out about me and I wish all my students a successful 2019-2020 school year.
