This course requires the use of Adobe Design CS6 products along with critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills. Software concepts and practical skills will allow students to learn the current multimedia software as well as develop thinking skills to adapt to new software and techniques in this ever evolving field. Students in Advanced Multimedia Design develop expertise in the use of computers to manipulate images, prepare print layouts and create web designs. Through the projects assigned, students apply graphic design concepts using typography, photography, illustration, interface design, video and animation.
The ability to manage workflow and multiple deadlines is essential in progressing from concept to output. The approach to the class is project based. Students will be presented with material and then given ample time to explore and create an individual portfolio of projects that showcase their work.
